Passing and 
The Double Yellow Line


Return to your lane when you can see the bumper of the vehicle you are passing in your rear view mirror. You may not pass on the left if: Your lane has a solid yellow center line. You cannot safely return to the right lane before reaching a solid yellow line
You cannot safely return to the right lane before any approaching vehicle comes within 200 feet of you.
Approaching a curve or crest of a hill.
Within 100 feet of a railroad crossing . Passing on the right is permitted only when:
The vehicle ahead is making a left turn.
There are two or more lanes on a one way road
It is not restricted.
